Thoughts of a Pencil and Pens?

Do you ever stop and think, when your hand touches my wood!Just what you are writing, and if it will be any good? Some hands have pain we,feel it in your touch!Yes, some with anger, and you use us for a crutch! It's all in the wording, that I write for you!Sometimes I don't want to work, with the message you send it too!Oh, and there are times, I flow your words! To a dear one you are writing too! You're love you pour from your heart!I glide too and feel, the write of love its true!My pencil point breaks, so you can'twrite hurtful thoughts and things!Oh, and me the pen, are for surethoughts that really have wings!Well, now we are with children. We're not used very much! The computer has taken over!Yes, and we just sit here in the dust!Yes, we were there in Great Times!Oh, the feather pen with Ink!They are laying on a dusty desk!No one seeing and that really does stink!I'm the feather pen, cough, cough!Remembering Patrick Henry holding me,then passed to other hands also too!The Declaration of Independence written for all of you by me!So, please if you write remember, whoput your thoughts on paper in Rhyme and stories!Yes, and write happy thoughts the most! Please put people in real glory!Life is too short to hate!Just try to inspire!Well, that's all from this Pencil and Pens! Please let this be your desire!

My thoughts on my name.

When I was young, I kind of think of my life as part of pastery. They used to call me, Cookie as I grew up. Then I became a Pound Cake. I lost a lot of weight and became a Cheese Cake. Yes, now in my later years, a Nut Cake. Go Figure???

"My Birth"

"My Birth" this poem I wrote of a son to his Mother Here is Isaiah today!

While I was blowing bubbles, you were having trouble. You were waiting for me to come out. Boy, did you want to shout! Mom, would you give me a shove, then I'll come out with my love. Oh, there's a light! The world looks so bright! I felt a warm shoulder against my head, and felt a kiss and thought that you said, "I love you Little Guy and you dropped a tear from you eye. I really love you too, with all I put you through. I'll tell you that someday but, settle for "Goo Goo, my way!

This poem I wrote for, Isaiah to his Mom, he's my nephew and his Mom is my Niece. My Niece's name is Kelly!

What To Give!

My Poem to my Younger Sister, who has been through Hell!

What to give was what I thought. To my Younger Sister who always fought. Remembering when as a little child, she slapped a boy who had punched me wild! I'm thinking her size and being smaller then he, that this was how she was going to be. All through her life she fought battles it's true, and yes, tears shed and feeling more blue. Then her spirit would wake, and for our sake. She'd make us laugh hearty with, her mishaps and folly. What gift do I give? I now know true. I'll give her my love, which she gave me too.I'll give her my shoulder for a few tears to shed. I'll give her some jokes from the thoughts in my head. Yes, tears and laughter we shared through the years, We're showing each other how much we really care. That's the gift of love I'll give to you. You gave it to me my whole life through.

This poem is written for my Sister, Annabelle who has Cancer and had it on and off since she was in her 20's now she is going through stem cell treatments and is in her 50's. She also lost her leg from, Diabette's. Now she died 12/04/07.

Memorie's

"Memorie's" This Poem is Written for my Older Sister - Who loves Animals?

The thoughts of childhood days are, thoughts I'll always treasure. Mom & Dad making Cake and Bread and me testing it with Pleasure! Then hearing my Parents Voices, discussing putting toys together. Waking up Christmas morning and, looking at whatever! My Brother and my Sisters, gave me thoughts of childhood jokes. The Neighbors that we met, were really Wonderful Folks. Now, I'm a Wife and Mother and, I'm thinking of my other. We met on an escalator and, we dated a few days later. He shared my life with tears and joy! Oh, yes! We had a baby boy! He had us laughing with his Comical Way. Then my Daughter came in and put boys in a Daze! They all make me laugh, they all made me cry. That's part of life it's true. You'll never forget the love they give and, the Memories's they give to you!

This was how I thought my sister Carol was thinking of her husband, and kids and life.

Derf!

This poem is for my brother.

My brother calls, himself Derf. He's not the size of a Smurf! Growing up with him, he'd go out on a limb, to save a small cat. Yes, he'd do things like that! He loves camping outdoors. Seeing Bears with Big Claws. They make him EXCITED and THRILLED! While it gives me the CHILLS! Knows how to put out a campfire, he relieves himself, while it transpires. He plays's Practical Jokes, while hoping no one Croaks. Many jobs he can do, Fixing Electric & Boilers to name a few. So many things I could say about him. He just takes off and goes on a whim. Love's cruising in his Chevy, Boy, that is Cool & Heavy! I want you to know, I love you brother too, You are always there and always come through. Thank you my Brother and also my friend. No, I'm sorry it's, all a few Bucks I can lend. You know I'm just kidding, but, I thought it was fitting!

We crack each other up with jokes all the time. So I made this for Fred!

CHILD CARE TODAY!

CHILD CARE TODAY! Babysitting my Niece and Nephew, Rachel and Jeremy!

I take care of my Niece and Nephew for about 4 weeks so this is what I go through. Oh, they are 3 months and 2 years old.
I wake up and go to the bathroom at 7:00A.M. in the morning. Go to turn the knob on the door. It won't turn! I've got my legs crossed now in a knot. The Mother comes out looking at me strange while I try ripping the door off the hinges! She looks at me strange and smiles. Oh, She says, I forgot to tell you. We have to put these new covers on the door knobs, so the kids can't get into any room, they are not supposed to be in. Oh, you squeeze it this way. She opens it so nice and closes it. Now the mother leaves saying good bye. So I try it for an hour and yes I finally get in! Wow, what a relief! Now that, that's done I'll make some coffee and scramble eggs. Now I go to turn on the gas jets. She has plastic covers over them and a ridge you have to squeeze in to open it, to put the jets on. Now that lasted what seems like, a good week! O.K. I did it!!!!!!!!! Now to get the knives and forks. I go to pull out the draw and it is not opening! Yes there is a lock on that too! Well, I got into that too but, took awhile. I have come to the conclusion!! This place would be great for people who want to be on a diet or just to drive someone NUTS! I don't have to worry about that I'm there already but, I'll never understand why all of this! I wasn't raised this way!!! So now I have two more weeks to get more of this. Oh, and she has the seat cover down in the one bathroom with a bar across it. I couldn't get that up! So now I'm sitting on my NEPHEW'S POTTY, trying to go. Then the door won't close in the bathroom and I see these two cute eyes looking in at me opening the door. OH BEING A BABYSITTER TODAY IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE!!!!!!! TAKE IT FROM ONE WHO KNOWS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Thoughts of Mom & Dad!

While I'm sitting here and thinking, of the years being with my Dad. He tried to teach me to make bread. He was preparing it and Kneeding it and he had forgotten the flour for it. His hands are sticky with the dough on his hands. Then he realized he had no Flour for the rest of the Bread. He asked me to go to the store and get him some flour. I stood there smiling with the dough stuck to his hands. I went and got the flour and he made his bread. He put the dough on the table and said it had to rise. We got up the next day and bread did rise. He put it in the oven. When it came out it was such a great sight, I grabbed a Knife and ate it with pleasure. Then I decided to make a bread years later, without my Father telling me what to do. Now I use that bread for a Paper Weight! My rule is Make the Best of Everything. Like the saying. when you get a Lemon make lemonade. I'll never forget his laugh and the jokes he used to tell. It's nice to go back and remember what a great man he was!

My Mother was an all around handy person. She'd be there for anyone who needed help with anything. She repaired things all the time. She'd make rugs, cook, sew, wash, clean and repair. She made a costume for me for a Fashion Party I went to. She had only an hour to fix me up. She dragged out fringe, she puts shoe boxes on my feet and covers them with wrapping paper, now that's my shoes. Then she makes a hat with wire and fringe. The wire stuck up a flower and the fringe was drapped around the outside of the paper plate hat. My dress looked like a potate sack with a big bow on my butt. Then she said, now you're done. I'm thinking you're right about that and walked back to the party. This party was: Your Funny Outfit Fashions. Needless to say, guess who won for best costume. That's my Mom!

That's my Mom and Dad we laughed and had great fun!
They'll always be with me.
Until my life is done.

Thoughts of my Angel!

While in dispair and out of a job, I looked to the Heavens above. I prayed, to my Gardian Angel Gabriel, in which he sent me so much love. I asked him to find a job for me, in a lace place near my home. I looked in the yellow pages and found a number to call. I spoke to a lovely lady. She said I had the job! Then I got off the phone and just began to sob! She said to wait for three months and call her back again. I started to go to school for computers then I got a call from her. It was part-time, until someone came back. I wanted to take that job but, was training for computers. I did go for the interview and she said, keep me in mind. She gave me her card with her name on it. While walking out of the Lace Place, I looked upon her card. Her name rang out so in my mind, I'm never alone and this is true her name was GABRIEL and he was with me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!I don't lose sight of my angel for he'll be with me my whole life through!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still with You!

My Mother has been in my thoughts lately. I think she is letting me know she is still with me. I took care of her for a number of years when she started to have a Stroke, I put her in the Hospital. I'd visit her and talk to her when, she was in a coma. One day I didn't go was feeling sick. She died that day. I had a feeling she was going to die but, I guess I just couldn't say good bye. Now, I was in a trance. I went home from the funeral. While trying to go to sleep, I heard my Mother call me. I thought it was just my imagination. Then turning around I saw a young women in the doorway. I stared at her and it was MY MOTHER, SHE WAS YOUNG AND IN A STANDING POSITION AND HAD A GREAT SMILE, then she faded from view. I couldn't believe my eyes! The next morning I FELT ARMS AROUND ME SO TIGHT! I woke up with such FRIGHT! Now I know what it all meant. My Mother told me in this method that, she was happy and will always love me. Yes, and she is taken care of now and made me know not too worry. That's was my Mother's loving goodbye!

Did Not Die
By Melinda Pacho

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there,
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am diamond glints in the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's Hush,
I am the swift uploading rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there,
I did not die.

The Loss of Common Sense!

Not Written by me, but who ever did it should have put his name on it. No common sense here either, So I decided to use it. We'll, see if I have any common sense now too.

Orbituary: The Sad Passing of Common Sense Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for surehow old he was since his birth records were long ago lost inbureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, whythe early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe itwas my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parentingstrategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended fromschool for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired forreprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they failed to do in disciplining theirunruly children It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or asticky plaster to a student; but, could not inform the parents when astudent became pregnant Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses;and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar cansue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee washot She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded ahuge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and hisson, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone. If you still remember him pass this on. If not join the majority and do nothing.

These pictures are of my Nephew and Niece. The Mother let him eat his Mac and Cheese by Himself! No Common Sense!

The Flea Market!

While walking through a Flea Market, one gets a chill! Touching and feeling of the objects that belonged to someone now, still. You wonder who these people are and how there life was. Yes, and was this Wedding Band from a couple who was Really Deeply in love? You pick up an Old Doll and saw how worn out it was, thinking of all the hugs it got from a girl who had much love. Now there's a Record Player and I could here the sounds of it in my mind, and the dancing of the people and smiles they left behind. Yes, an Old Wash Board I saw next with the thoughts in my mind, of a women washing cloths for kids and her man she loved so fine! There was a Rabbit's Foot there, that was good luck for you. I'm telling you it's not good luck, He lost his foot that's true. There was a Certificate of Death, for a Man that died in the Civil War. It makes you wonder why he died and what was it all for! While heading out of the Flea Market and looking back at what I saw. I'm hoping all the lives I've dreamed were really not that poor. Yet , I thought about the things they had and who am I to say. They might have had not much like us but, love that will always stay.

Halloween!

The thoughts of Halloween brings happy times to my mind. When I was young my Mother used to make my Costumes. I was a Ghost and couldn't see much in it. My sister used to pull me around all over the place. So why did I have to see. Then another batch of kids came along and she would dress them too. These were her Grandkids she loved them too. She'd make one a Princess and the gown was Pretty but, when the kid sat down, the hoop in the dress went up and you could see what she was wearing under it. Then there was the time she made the one a Devils Costume and the tail was so long, it hit the kid in the nose behind her. We went to costume parties too when we grew up. I was a Japanese Girl. My brother was Frankenstein, My younger sister was a French Girl. My older sister was a cat. Her Husband was a Mummy. This costume was real net. Everytime he had to go to the bathroom we had to unwrap him. Then when he came out, we had to wrap him up again. We had so much fun! Who said Halloween is just for kids. So go out and have a great time. Enjoy yourself while there is still time. You never know what's in store for who, the witches and goblins just might get you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Children!

I'm thinking of my nephew when he saw his first flower. He went over to it and crotched don't and sniffed it. The experiences of children makes my life so happy! I like to watch how they react to things they see for the first time. My niece saw a statue of The Virgin Mary at the place where my sister lived. She was about 5 and as she walked by the statue of the Virgin Mary she said: "Mommy is that Aunt Anna's Dolly?" Yes, and there was the time my nephew was in an elevator with his Mom, Grandma Anna and me. He is looking down and says, I have 2 legs, You and Marsha have 2 and Grandma has 1. Now how do you explain this to a 3 year old as to why? There was a Possum by his house and we wanted to go over and pet it. He was in a supermarket with his Mom and she was getting kotex and Jeremy says, that's Mommy's Diapers. Then walking with him a lady gives him a cookie, they were giving out samples. So she rushed by her and he wanted the cookie. Now, she runs into the Ladys Room with him. When she comes out they walk passed the women with the cookie's and her son tells the lady, Mommy go potty. She was so embarassed. My niece we took to visit Santa in New York City. It snowed and slushed so bad. Now we walk pass this man with an expensive suit on and yes, my niece jumped in a puddle and splatter his suit real bad. We ran to get away from him. She was about 4 then. Yes, teach the kids what's right. Yes, and love them and hear them and care!!!!!!!!!!! So you Mothers and Fathers and Grandmas & Grandpas and everyone, check out these kids they are our Future!

To Kill an American!

I had seen this and had to put this in:
Written by an Australian Dentist.. To Kill an AmericanYou probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is . So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)"An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. "An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

"The Miracle!"

Hearing a knock at my door. I open it up and a beggar women was there. She gave me a card saying she couldn't talk or hear. She wanted money for her pins that I saw. My heart went out to her, the way she was dressed. Her finger was writing for 25 cents. I ran in the house looking for the money but, I was kind of dense. Well, I just happen to find just 15 cents. I was embarrassed but, I gave it to her. She said to me it's O.K., that's what I paid for it. My ears just heard a miracle, I had to sit! Wow, she spoke to me, my thoughts were a blur! This women got better than the money I gave. Her voice was just speaking she was thinking cheap skate. Now, my mind is thinking was it a miracle or bate. She walked out the door and I gave her a wave! I stood there with the pins in my hand. She must have thought I needed them more. I guest that's what the miracle was for. Now an old lady who speaks in the land. I guess she was wishing I hadn't opened the door! Well, I did try and help her and she speaks now quite well. She walked away saying something about hell. Now, where's the pins, I slid on them and fell on the floor. Now I don't answer the door. I can't handle miracles that is for sure. Sowatch out for old ladies with pins. You'll see who the one really does win!

The Wallet

As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years. The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the date line--1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years earlier. It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on poser-blue stationery with a little flower in the left hand corner. It was a "Dear John" letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him any more because her mother forbad it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed Hannah. It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, to identify the owner. Maybe if I called information, the operator could fine a phone listing for the address on the envelope."Operator," I began, "this is an unusual request. I'm trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there any way you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?"She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment, then said, "Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can't give you the number. " She said as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and ask whoever answered if the person wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then the supervisor was back on the line. " I have a party who will speak with you."I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped. "Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was thirty years ago!""Would you know where that family could be located now?" I asked."I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago," the woman said. "Maybe if you got in touch with them, they might be able to track down the daughter."She gave me the name of the nursing home, and I called the number. The woman on the phone told me the old lady had passed away some years ago, but the nursing home did have a phone number for where the daughter might be living.I thanked the person at the nursing home and phoned the number she gave me. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home. This whole thing is stupid, I thought to myself. Why am I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that has only three dollars and a letter that is almost sixty years old?Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the nurse that answered the phone told me, "Yes, Hannah is staying with us."Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. "Well," he said hesitatingly, "if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television."I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, , the nurse introduced me to Hannah. She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye.I told her abut finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the poser-blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael."She looked away for a moment, deep in thought, and then said softly, " I loved him very much. But I was only sixteen at the time and my mother felt I was to young. Oh, he was so handsome. He look like Sean Connery, the actor."Yes," she continued, "Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And, "she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, "tell him I still love him. You know," she said, smiling as tears welled up in her eyes, "I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael."I thanked Hannah and said good-by. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, "Was the old lady able to help you?"I told him she had given me a lead. "At least I have a last name. But I think I'll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet."I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, "Hey, wait a minute! That's Mr. Goldstein's wallet. I'd know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He's always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times.""Who's Mr. Goldstein?" I asked, as my hand began to shake."He's one of the old timers on the eighth floor. That's Mike Goldstein's wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks.":I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse's office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I pray that Mr. Goldstein would be up.On the eight floor, the floor nurse said, "I think he's still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He's a darling old man."We went to the only room that had any lights on, and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet. Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, "Oh, it is missing!""This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours."I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet, and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, "Yes, that's it! It must have dropped out of my pocked this afternoon. I want to give you a reward.""No, thank you" I said. "But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet."The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. "You read that letter?" Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is." He suddenly grew pale. "Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me," he begged."She's fine...just as pretty as when you knew her," I said softly. The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, "Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow." He grabbed my hand and said. "You know something, mister? I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I've always loved her.""Michael," I said, "come with me"We took the elevator down to the thirdfloor. The hallways were darkened and only one of two little night lights lit our way to the day room, where Hannah was sitting alone, watching the television. The nurse walked over to her."Hannah," she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. "Do you know this man?"She adjusted here glasses, looked for a moment, but didn't say a word.Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, "Hannah, it's Michael. Do you remember me?"She gasped, "Michael! I don't believe it! Michael! it's you! My Michael!"He walked slowly toward her, and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces."See, I said, "See how the good Lord works! If it's meant to be, it will be."About three weeks later, I got a call at my office from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!"It was a beautiful wedding, with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration.Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man.The hospital gave them their own room, and if you ever wanted to see a seventy-six year old bride and a seventy-nine year old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple.A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly sixty years.

If I could See...& If I Could Hear....

If I could see LEADERS of Every Country, SMILING & SHAKING HANDS!Yes, with LOVE for ONE ANOTHER not, what they can GAIN IN ALL THE LAND!If I could hear the SOUND OF JUBULATIONS AND SINGING!Not sounds of PEOPLE BEGGING for help, in PAIN and in LIFE CLINGING!If I could see the SMILES OF BABIES who have GOOD FOOD AND EATS!Oh, not to see a CHILD STARVING AND ALL BONES SEEING IT'S DEFEAT!If I could hear sounds of the ANIMALS STILL HERE!I would know that GOD SAVED them TOO and ALWAYS DID CARE!If I could hear the WINGS OF ANGELS FLUTTERING FROM ABOVE!I'd tell them to THANK GOD, for TURNING this WORLD INTO LOVE!If I could see all PEOPLE CHANGING and CARING FOR EVERYONE!I would know that GOD was HERE and KNOW that we have WON!You see it TAKES GOD and ALL OF US to make this WORLD AT PEACE!We should LOVE ONE ANOTHER and MAKE THIS BE OUR LEASE!This is my Challenge Poem but is JFTLOI.By Marsha Neuschwanter

Let's Give Love a Chance!

Take the time to say I love you.Just a hug too will do.It's the way to be and kind. While you have it on your mind. Time seems to pass bye so fast.Life is good don't live in the past.Don't let fights bring you to hate.Show the love, let this be our fate. Yes, people make wars.Let's bring this to an end.Let's stop and make good laws.We make everyone a friend. Miracles happen, believe in them it's true!Put yourself in the other's shoe.Keep your thoughts with God above. You'll see and then feel the love.

"The Spirit of Living!"

The trees are stretching out their limbs,to reach up to the sun!Yes, the cool breeze is blowing, robins wings are lifted to reach a branch on high! The grass is coming up with Dandy Lions too!Yes, God planted these they grow on their own!The rain falls lightly from the clouds to, bringthem water, to blossom and then they grow! The sun provided the warmth, from Gods own heart you know! Now we are made from the love of a woman, man and God!Yes a child is born into first, seeing light and the feel of ones hands,to put it in the Mother's arms! It's feeling the touch of a Mother's shoulder on it's head!Yes, and some tear drops and a voice that say's,I love you and it's the love right there put in it's heart! We learn to raise it from what's in the GOOD BOOK!That's what we should do right from the start!Yes, and watch it grow and see the way it reacts to things!Listen to the coo's while it's starring at the Guardine Angel that won't depart!Yes, we are here because of him!Being laid down flat and nails pushing through his skin! The pain of it all, for us he did love!Jesus suffered and died, to take away our sins!We are all here through God's Plan for all!God gives us the Beauty of the flowers!Yes, and the wood for our houses! We give them Clean air and stop polution! The Spirit of Living is in everything!Yes, even in animals, fish, bugs and things! So look around you and enjoy what you see!Yes, to all that may be!By Marsha Neuschwanter

The Many Foibles of Marsha-Ex-rays Me?

My day started out o.k. but, my stomach wanted food!I was going to get ex-rays and it wasn't until the afternoon. So I didn't have any food but, had to drink a lot of water! Now I couldn't releave myself because they were ex-raying that area.So I get dressed and put on a lot of padding where I think I needed it.Well, I get to the place and it's a bit crowded. Now, I'm starting to sweat. I was wondering if that was aloud! They call me in and the dressing room is so small! Now, an urge comes over me and I'm sitting there crossing my legs so tight!I have a hospital gown to put on and I have to take off my pants! This was a bit tuff, I lift one leg up and my head goes towards the door, like almost through it! One leg out, then I try for the other leg and thesame tilt forward with my head. Now I have a bruise on my nose withof an imprint of the lock on the door! That went well, as someone walksby and gets my pants attached to their shoe and drag my pants out. Then I hop out to get my pants and I bend over and feel a nice draft, with a number of laughs from people walking in!The nurse walks in now and tells me to put my clothes in a locker. She gaveme the key. I put everything in the locker and she takes me to a roomwith the ex-ray machine in it. Now there is a long metal table I have to geton. They give me a step to climb on to get on the table. Well, I got on the table!Wow, it was so cold against my skin then, it reacted pretty bad on my bowels! The nurse comes in and says lay very still. I'm trying to do that with my legs in aknot and my cheeks on the the bottom held so tight together! That's good the nurse said. Then she asked if I had to go to the ladies room.YES, ME YELLING YES and knowing how she knew when, she saw the brown inmy eyes and yellow. I ran to the bathroom! Oh, what a relief! I felt 10 lbs.lighter! Now, she tells me I have to drink the chalky drink!I drink it laying side ways. No tissue and it leaks out of my mouth! Then they tell me to turn.My hair is sticking up straight now! We finally got done and tells me I canleave. I jumped off the table and ran out! Let me out of here I said! Now I'm at the locker and I can't find my key! Where did the key go? It'sgetting late and people are looking at me strange! I tell them I lost my key!Oh, I was wondering what this key was doing in the ex-ray room. the nurse said. I grabbed it and ran and opened the lock! Halaluyah, I yelled!I went to the dressing room and threw on my cloths and shoes! Then I grabmy bag and run out! Now, I 'm walking home and people are looking at meand crossing the street when, I come near them! I didn't understand that but, whocares I'm going home! I finally get in and run in my room passing a mirror.I look at it and was shocked! The drink that I had, leaked out of mymouth, all over the face, dripping marks and my hair was standing up! I had myshoes on the wrong feet too! My advice to all of you! Read what I went through!Bye Marsha Neuschwanter

Make the time!

Now as I lean back here I'm thinking. of all the time gone by. Yes, and think of all the moments, I wasted and just let fly! To see my little child be born, I had no time for that. I just work more over time. To get my Boss's Back Pat. There's my Friends I haven't seen in a while. Hey, they call, lets go out and have some fun! I make an excuse I can't go. Then they say they have to run. Now I sit here all alone my child I called today. I told him to come and see me. He told me he was busy, and he really had to flee! So I sat there reading a paper, glancing at a terrible accident in, the front page! I broke down with sobbing tears, now my friends are dead and I jumped up in a rage!! It's sad I have to learn to late, how much people mean to me. I could just have made the time, and gave my love you see. So now I'm going to make the time. To everyone I know. Oh, hello there how are you! They said, Look, I have no time I really have to go!!!!!!!!!!

Father and Mother's Pray!

Father and Mother's Pray!
My Mother and Father in younger day! They were there for me in so many ways. I got a splinterin my finger, she took it out. Yes, with a pin and twisers she took it out. My Father would take me crabbing and was told to pick up a crab. It looked like it was going to attack me and I ran! My father was laughing so hard. He picked up the crab, from the back.
We had many wonderful times together and I miss them a lot but, I also learned that parents can learn from their children too. Life is a learning process and we keep learning from each other. I didn't close my mind from my parents and took it all in of what they said and did and live by it now. God Bless My Parents they are in Heaven now with God. Yes, I'm feeling the way they felt getting older and not being able to do what I could when I was a child. Now, kids of today look at your parents and heed what they say! Care for them when they get old, and please don't yell and do not scold!

Life of my Hero!

Thoughts of my sister!

Now, as I sit here looking back in time. I'm thinking of my Sister yes, younger but a strong one! She used to fight when we joked with her at a young age! She wanted to leave the world something after she had left this life. Well, we got older and she got married. She had a son and a little daughter. I used to go over and take care of her children too. Well, one day she had fallen on her knee. It swelled up and was very painful! Her Doctor told her to go see a Bone Doctor. She went with her husband. Then she got tested! They came back with her husband and son. The Doctor told them right out saying, "This report will tell us if we have to cut your leg off or not." Her son was crying! They both were shocked! Then told her she had bone cancer. Well, the Doctor did save her leg, took out the bone and put a rod down into it and she wore a brace from her hip down. She fought hard to get better! Now, she was alone with her two children. She got well and went to work and walked to get on buses because she worked so far away. She raised the kids herself. Then she had lung Cancer and they had to take part of her lung! My family took care of the kids then and she came home. The Cancer left, then later on she got Diabetes! Free from Cancer for quite awhile she took her kids to dancing school and baseball in recitals and games they were in. Yes, and laughed she did, with her family and her brother and sisters. She made us laugh all the time! Yes, now she is in her late 50's and the Cancer is back again. She had her leg amputated because of the Chemo leaving her weak to infections. She lived with her Grandkids and Daughter and took care of them. Yes, and loved them so much. She moved and lives by herself now, so the grandkids didn't see her getting sick anymore. She is going to Chemo now but, she lives each day with a new zest for living! She baked Christmas Cookies with her Daughter and Grandkids. Her Grandson begged her to move back in with them. She said trying to laugh with a tear coming out of her eyes. Well, Grandma snores a lot and willwake you up all the time! Then he laughed and she changed the subject! Now, I think what she had said to me, about leaving something to the world after she left. I think she's been giving the world something all through her life and she doesn't even realize it! She went to school to learn the computer. She gave friendship when she learned how to work on a computer and taught a blind girl how to use one. She gave insite to people who thought they didn't have a chance and saw her! She cooked, cleaned went food shopping going up and down hills with a brace! She was written up in Medical Journals so many Doctors could learn from her. Yes, she has the will to live and love and care for everyone she ever met and will meet! Oh, and the laughter she brings to each of us! Oh, if she could realize she is leaving us her love and the care she gives to everyone and the laughter, this is the most important thing in this world! Yes, you give your love and caring for others. I guess we have to tell you that! You are my hero and to a lot more people you don't even realize! Thanks, for being you! I pray you get this in Heaven!By Marsha Neuschwanter

Who sleeps with her Grandson too.Just got done feeding him and changing his diapers PU!She loves to care for her grandkids but, body is saying just rest! Her mind is telling you can do it, the body says rest thats the best! She thinks of the time she was a Mother.Making formular right oh, Brother!Oh, to see the smile on there faces,Not their crying and all of your paces! Then you trying to get them to obey! They happend to show you their way!Oh, just try and tell them no!You give in and say lets go!School times come, homework needs help!Mom scratches her head lets out a yelp.Oh, Graduation day is really quite near!So glad he passed with happiness to share! The years go by with thoughts happy and sad! Now, her daughter is married she had a little lad!Grandma was there to see her grandson's birth! Her eyes dropped tears and laughter her mirth! So all you Mother's and Grandma's today!Give when you can and rest in your way!Yes, and punish if bad, but love Them all too!You are there Angels and it's all up to you!By Marsha Neuschwanter

Love is More Than a Four Letter Word!

Love is such a small word, but it's huge in peoples hearts!Yes, in how they learn to use it.Then never let it depart!Share love with one who has none! They never felt a hug or a kiss!Don't know what a sweet word is!How it would put them all in some bliss! You could change a life and more, please try some of these things.Give a smile to a frown on a face. The person will feel it has wings!Try to talk to a neighbor,be a friend to one who's alone!Yes, get them to laugh and feel peace.Give them an invite to your home! Please learn to use love wisely!Give from your heart real strong! It also will make you so happy!Make your friend laugh, with your song! This is a thought for all today!Give your love in a special way!Listen to an old person, telling of their life story.Play with a child and be in,your glory! There are many different loves. Why not share it with others. You know we are sharing, with our sisters and brothers.Love is more than a four letter word. It's a gift to share with all.To see the love in all people.God's gift to us was his call!By Marsha Neuschwanter

My Shower of Memories!
My Shower of Memories!
Days of long ago, bring happy thoughts to my mind!Oh, showers in the street, that helps us to unwind!Yes, we'd play fly's up, with a ball to bounce against the wall!Hide and seek good game, no one looked for me, I started to ball!I waited about 2 hours for someone to find me!Great job I did they can't seem to look and see!!Called out to everyone, is any one there?Looked around the streets and they were clear! It was dark out but, I went to the store! They had great ice pops and went out the door!I saw some kids running and catching fire flys! They put them in jars, I didn't think it was wise!My Mother is calling, I have to go in!I'm really thinking oh, that's just a sin!The next day a truck appears with a ride! Now to get money and then I will glide! No, money to be had, as my friends got on!Tears in my eyes, walked away almost gone, then my friends Mother, tells me to get in!I had a great time and really I did winMy friends laughed and enjoyed life, we gave to each other!Oh, it's just not in play but, caring like a sister or brother!Yes, we made mud pies and used worms for spaghetti! My friend ate some and spit it out, said, it's not ready! So much more to this memory I'd like to tell!Perhaps in another poem and I will write it well! Now I'm glad you came alone with me!Yes, to notice life was good and hoping you agree!
